Riccardo Silano (born 1982) is an Italian artist, designer and media archaeologist. He treats all technology, from language itself to new media, as black boxes to be creatively patched together.
His hands-on exploration of signal and noise is grounded in a 20-year arc across the creative industry, ranging from theatre to broadcasting, from AR to AI. Fusing technical expertise with a distinct neurological sensitivity, he acts as both trigger and witness, capturing technological ghosts just before they vanish.
The results are enigmatic visuals, speculative experiences and glimpses into latent realities. His practice prompts the viewer to uncover undocumented behaviors and emergent capabilities in every complex system, including themselves.
